Salty Shamrock in Apollo Beach

Decent location, decent food. But you have to expect bad / rude service here. If you want service at all, you will need to be assertive.You will need to ask for silverware and napkins. Things other places do without having to ask three times. I expect bad service here, so I don't get disappointed. This place is about location and is always my last resort. When our area starts getting more places to enjoy, this place will have to do better or become obsolete. For better service, I recommend Ricks on the River or Woody's River Roo. Both offer better service. Note to the manager: Stop telling people to see the manger on these posts, do your job and we will not have to come see you. I don't remember any manager coming by our table and asking how things are. I would have asked for napkins for the Key west Shrimp .... oh and a fork would have been great also...lol.

Delicious food, great service, indoor or outdoor seating, family friendly, seniors welcomed, all ages groups present in a friendly atmosphere. Love their Shepherds Pie and Short Ribs

Wife and I had a quick Valentine's dinner here. Perfectly done filet and good homemade mashed potatoes. Eric and Betty at the bar are awesome!

The fish n chips (fries) - AWESOME! Outstanding friendly staff (Frank)! Great atmosphere! Loved the Irish music.

Love Tuesday Night Trivia. Food was outstanding a year ago. Worth the wait. Grouper over Rissotto & Spinach. Chicken Florentine. Both dishes were changed - not much flavor. Now more of a pub. But food is still pretty good. Fun with friends the best. However they need to crack down on cell phone cheaters during Trivia. Ruining the fun competition.

We just picked up a couple of brisket dinners, spot on, I have lived in Texas many years and I got a taste that reminded me of Dallas.. thank you guys😘

Wow what an awesome restaurant! The food seriously is PHENOMENAL! I had probably the best buffalo chicken wrap I've ever eaten in my life! My wife had fish & chips that were amazing! Waitresses and servers are very nice and attentive.... live music sounded great! 5 stars for sure!

Sat on the patio in the gorgeous breeze and had a wonderful, filling meal for a good price!

As a man from Ireland I gave this place a chance obviously. Food is GREAT. Guinness was decent. Then I look up and see a manutd scarf on the wall. Whatever. Then I see an Arsenal scarf and that did it. Put a Celtic on the wall. The Liverpool was okay. Came here for paddy’s day. Asked for a few Irish songs. The “Irish rebel band” declined and instead played a bunch of American rock n roll. Just another wanna be Irish pub in Florida. Check out Four green fields in downtown Tampa for a true Irish experience. But still great food. Just not an Irish pub

Although the food and service have considerably improved, the entertainment tonight was difficult to listen to....most in our group left earlier than usual☹️

Great atmosphere. Trivia fun. Food is not heavily seasoned.

We had a table outside and the service was less than average. It was probably our server on that day, but it was very slow. Felt like it would have been easier to order from the bar.

Was happy to finally eat out at a restaurant again, but we did wait 20 min to receive a menu after we had been seated. We asked for a beer list and were offered Bud Light and a couple other locals because the waiter said he couldn’t remember the others due to working 14 hour days since they reopened. Understandable. The lady next to us ordered her food the same time we did, ate it, then left before our meals came out. My friend had the Shepard’s pie, but it came out cold. The rest of our meals were lukewarm, but we had waited so long we just took everything to go. We were so excited to go out again, but may wait to try again when things get back on track.

The place is nice and relaxed, the menu broad enough, the prices appropriate, and the service quite personable. The music started about 15 min. before we left but the singer/musician was perfect for the evening; wish we'd gone later. My wife enjoyed her lobster mac & cheese. But my prime rib dinner (their evening Special) left me unimpressed. It was a bit tough and not as juicy as I'm used to. Next time I'll go with the Shamrock Fish & Chips, that looked quite good.

Great staff, nice as can be. Indoor and outdoor dining so you have an option to smoke while there. I had the calamari which was fried with jalapenos and onions. I've never had it prepared that way but it was wonderful. I generally dislike barbeque but didn't mind it at all this time. I felt $10 was pretty reasonable.

Awesome rueban sandwich good service and live music. The reason I didnt give 5 stars - waitress brought check when we asked and we gave our card but she took forever to bring it back. Too long !

Food and atmosphere are great.... service was better on our second visit, but needs some work.We will be back.

First visit - will NOT be our last. Had the breaded fish and my wife kept "sampling" mine it was so delicious. Good service - a Sports Bar atmosphere (since I'm a sports fan I enjoyed it!!) . Very much worth a try.

Just moved to Apollo Bch and were looking for a cool new place to be our "local hangout" spot...and we found it! Our server Ashley was super sweet and helpful and the food (pub style fish and chips, Celtic egg rolls and soft shell crab BLT) all hit the spot. Good selection of beer on tap as well as liquors to choose from. The vibe here is relaxed and fun, and the live music was a plus. We will definitely be back and look forward to Trivia starting back up once all the pandemic craziness slows down.

Tonight I took my family to Salty Shamrock for dinner. I enjoy the food and wait staff and thought my family would also. Frank was our server and went above and beyond to help my disabled mother. Thank you Frank you made my mom's night out so special. The food was amazing and we enjoyed our end of holiday night out. The football games were playing on the TV'S and it was very loud. When we mentioned it to Frank he immediately lowered the sound. We were treated like family and the night was perfect.

Proper local owners who support their community. Pop in for a snack or a pint to catch a footy match is always a good time, and something I’ll always continue to do! Up the shamrock!

It was okay. Gave 1 extra star because of Covid. Every dish we had just needed a little something else. The sandwich could have used a better sauce. The fries could have used a better seasoning. If they just kick it up a notch it could be good, but as it sits right now, a bit of a let down. Still, there isn’t that many places to eat around there, so they have that going for them.

My husband and I went back to try the restaurant/bar everyone and food was fantastic. We have been returning weekly for awhile.

The place is nice and clean. I did have a problem with a server there who kept nodding out while taking my order. she said her name wad randi while getting my food n drinks on the back patio other then that it was a good experience

Loved the outside seating, I don't mind the heat, I think it's perfect for people to get thirsty and drink some more lol

This is a fun and lively place to unwind. The music and chatter can get pretty loud so keep that in mind.We enjoyed the menu choices and the meals were tasty. Lots of parking.There are fun weekly events to participate in like trivia night to meet new people.

Great place!!! When we arrived we automatically felt welcomed. They prepared a hook and cook from what we caught earlier( can't get any fresher than that). Molly our server was on it 👍👍

The Fish and Chips where very good and cooked correctly. Three fri nook prices are very reasonable and Holly gave great service. I will go back

The place has a large porch, where you can enjoy your food without getting wet, as well as indoor bar and tables... If you’re sitting outside, you can occasionally hear the sound of Harley Davidson reving its engine... We had crispy calamari which was good, but a bit spicy, served on a small frying pan. Irish potato soup (not impressive). On the whole it was nice, but the wait was a bit too long. Plus the guy singing on Friday night...

The salty shamrock is your typical Irish pub, except everything is done right. Full bar, good beer selection including a proprietary red. If you like reds, I recommend it. The service was quick and the bartenders are friendly. We had the lobster rolls and pork dumplings, both were excellent quality, honestly I didn't expect much going in but was pleasantly surprised! Definitely a good place to hang out.

These people do not seem to be fond of outsiders. Real stand off and stuck up attitudes. I received no service as if they don’t like people of color. Also you are not allowed inside the restaurant unless you have a mask, which I didn’t but everybody I saw inside wasn’t wearing a mask. Policies and people here suck

Great local restaurant...Love their Grouper Rubin! Entire staff are very hospitable....they're doing their very best in handling and following the CDC regulations. I'd go back and support them again!

OMG! My chicken salad was huge and yummy!!!

Mostly basic bar food, yet doesn't have a lot of items you might associate with an Irish-themed bar in the US: cabbage, fried pickles, soda bread, or even Irish music. Even more bizarre, evidently the flatbread crust is deep fried. And there are absolutely zero options for vegetarian/vegan options other than a salad.

Go see Angel! She is amazing! Family owned and they are nice people, plus there is always something fun going on! A great spot to have a safe, local night! Great food, constant efforts to change and better the restaurant, awesome staff. They really do it all. Side note, whoever responds to the negative reviews on here is hilarious!
